Make The Most of The Well During COVID-19
I hope you were as blessed as I was to join in the church online experience. While we obviously don't prefer to meet digitally and would much more prefer to meet in person, our teams did a fantastic job putting together an online service for our church in 48 hours. If you haven't thanked Scott Gayer, Tyler Shaw, and Hudson Ratzlaff yet, shoot an email or text thanking them for all they did behind the scenes. You can plan to have this same online experience at https://boulderwell.online.
It was really fun for me to share this online experience with my friends and family that don't live in the area. I hope you'll take advantage of this unique opportunity to invite people to church. If you missed church yesterday, you can get caught up here - https://vimeo.com/397713948.
Our staff met together yesterday morning and prayed for one another and our church. We also created some ways that we hope to continue to minister to you in the event that we cannot meet together in person as often:
WEEKLY WEDNESDAY ONLINE PRAYER
This Wednesday, we will hosting a church-wide prayer meeting digitally to pray for one another, our church, and the world. I will be leading the prayer meeting. We will be sharing a link for Zoom (a platform you're going to hear a lot about in this email) tomorrow which is where we will have the prayer meeting. We hope for this prayer meeting to happen weekly.
ONLINE STARTING POINT, EVERY SUNDAY
Our Starting Point meeting will still be offered after online church on Sundays for new people that check out our church and would like to get to know someone at the church. This will happen over Zoom and a link will be posted in the online church chat at the end of the service.
DAILY ONLINE DEVOTIONALS FROM LEADERS
Pastor Matt and myself are going to try and share short devotional videos on The Well instagram account. Make sure you follow the account to see those. Our hope is to do those daily.
TAKE YOUR MC AND DIG ONLINE
Missional Communities can take advantage of Zoom and meet together as a group as much as they want. Zoom is a free web-conferencing video platform. You can also join via audio. We are encouraging each MC to still meet regularly with their group and share prayer and check in on one another. You can also use Zoom for Dig Groups.
GET PRAYER ONLINE FROM OUR PRAYER TEAM
We will be taking prayer requests at least weekly via Instagram. Be sure to follow our account to take advantage of prayer. It is definitely a season where we all need it.
COLLEGE, YOUTH AND KIDS SOCIAL DEVOTIONALS
Our College, Youth, and Kids Ministry leaders (Derek and Alyssa) will be sharing devotionals for their areas on CCB and social platforms. We want college students, youth, and kids to feel cared for, encouraged, and built up during this season of uncertainty.
GET PASTORAL CARE & PRAYER 24/7
We are still available to meet with people over Zoom. If you would like a meeting with pastor or other leader, just reach out to Maggie (email@example.com) and she'll make it happen.
Lastly, we are starting a Care Ministry where people can email opportunities to share with others and care for others. It should be live in next 24 hours and the email will be firstname.lastname@example.org. We will notify you once a leader and system as been established for that.
WE LOVE THIS CHURCH
I'm so thankful for this church. During this season of increased isolation, don't let the enemy get you down. The church shines during seasons of hardship. We are the presence of the living God in this world. Reach out to someone. Share your need with God and others. Practice vulnerability with others. Find joy and peace from God because our world is definitely not offering it right now. I'm praying for you. Pray for me.
Let's go to work doing the work of the ministry together.
